Naples · Via del Parco Margherita
A family home turned into a quiet refuge for travellers who care.
·The living room, photographed on an October morning.
Welcome
A home that smells of Naples.
Above Mergellina, where the steps of Parco Margherita slip down toward the sea, there is a home that once belonged to a grandmother and now belongs to those who know how to look. You'll find it at number 18, behind a dark wooden door.
Inside, no hotel lobby: only the rooms she lived in. Coffee from the moka, glass doors that stay open, the yellow afternoon light. You arrive a guest, you leave family.

Neapolitan breakfast
A full moka pot, the pasticciotto from the bar downstairs, a whispered tip for the day's walk.

Glimpses of the home
Eight frames, one whole house. Leaf through the rooms like a family album.
Voices of those who stayed
We arrived as tourists, we left feeling we had found a grandmother in Naples. The kitchen light at sunset is the souvenir we took home.
Around the suite
Naples is meant to be walked, from here.
Everything on foot. Eight minutes to the sea, ten to the right coffee, none to stop at the first alley that calls you.
